xmas comes to town :)

Happy (belated) Christmas 2009

a letter.

Dear you,

You might not know about this, and maybe you never will but I really really wanted to say this so bad; "Ich vermisse dich" and you didn't know how much I miss you till I think it already consumes me. I might be a fool, for never learning from the past experience but instead making the same mistake over and over again. Yet, I didn't find this to be a mistake. I didn't find you to be a mistake. I find you to be the greatest thing I've ever discovered and I am grateful of it. You're like my sunshine after the rain, you never know the smile I have whenever we're chatting together. We always talk about nothing, but I found that those nothings are certainly more important than so many somethings.

I like you.

Yes, I certainly does like you, because you're just what a man ought to be. You know how to make me smile, even when it's unconsciously done. You didn't know how much I wished for the word "we" to be true. The thing is just that, I don't know you. I don't understand the real you. I don't know what music you hear, what you eat. I don't know if you ever had a girlfriend. I don't know all that. I really wished I get to know you better, if you ever allowed me. But I just don't know how. Because you see, I don't socialize often with boys nor did I flirt. So you can say that I'm practically a nerd. Most of my friends are girls with very few boy, or maybe a really really boyish girl.

And, if I have a chance, I'll never let you go :)

ALICE in WONDERLAND!

I can't wait for MARCH 5th 2010!

First thing first, I'm not an avid fans of Alice in Wonderland when I was a kid, I found it pretty whimsical and rather weird, which is not really suitable to my taste of cartoons when I was a kid. I tried to watch it once, and ended up sleeping because it's just too boring for me. All the weird songs they sung, it was not my kind of taste in Disney music too (Sorry, Disney, but it's the truth!)

Anyway, the first time I saw the promo picture of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I was like.. "Okay, what the heck is this?" You see, because all of them looks so funny yet so... strange. All the name of the big stars dressed in a some whimsical clothing & make up. I didn't even know what it is at first. I didn't realized that it is a promo pic for Tim Burton's upcoming movie!

But I guess, Tim Burton does have some kind of magic in every movie that he made - He & his Burtonesque style. I fell in love bits by bits to this not-yet-out movie! Thanks to Tumblr & Flickr who are responsible for making me falling in love with Alice in Wonderland. And oh, Youtube too! Man~ I really-really can't wait! Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter is probably the one that I couldn't wait to see, Mia Wasikowska - who played Alice too and oh, you definitely couldn't miss THE CHESIRE CAT! You've got to see how its creepy grin.

Synopsis
Alice, now 19, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to by a rich suitor in front of hundreds of snooty society types. She runs off, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited many years before, yet she doesn't remember. The White Rabbit claims to have come back for Alice because she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwock, the beast who guards the Red Queen's empire. Since Alice left, the Red Queen took over all of Wonderland, and made life great for her, while ruining everyone else's life. She then embarks on an adventure of self discovery to save Wonderland from the Red Queen's reign of terror with the help of her Wonderland friends. Alice remains completely unaware of why she is in Wonderland, and is confused about the fact that she had once visited Wonderland years before.

Characters:

Mia Wasikowska as Alice
"There is something real, honest and sincere about her. She's not a typical Hollywood starlet. We wanted somebody who had…it’s hard to put into words, but just had a gravity to her, an internal life, something that you could see the wheels turning. It’s just a simple kind of power to her that we really liked. Not flamboyant, not very showy, but just somebody that’s got a lot of internal life to her. That’s why I picked her."
-Tim Burton & Richard D.Zanuck

Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter
" 'Alice in Wonderland' I think is going to be very, very, very fun. It's outstanding ... Tim's work. I think he's outdone himself, you know. Brilliant. The Hatter was very fun to play."
- Johnny Depp

Anne Hathaway as White Queen
“Cute but psycho. Things even out. Her character also doesn’t walk, she floats. She’s very eccentric and over dramatic, and just as mad in her way as the Hatter.”

Helena Bonham Carter as Red Queen
Carter’s head will be increased in size by three times on screen. Her character is a combination of the Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts and likes nothing better than to scream, “Off with their heads!”

gotta love her dress!

There is a place.
Like no place on Earth.
A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger!
Some say to survive it:
You need to be as mad as a hatter.

The Road I'm On, The Life I Lead

Sometimes I wonder about my life.
I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder,
do I do it because I like it,
or because
I haven't been brave
?
So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book,
when shouldn't it be the other way around?
I don't really want an answer.
I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void.
So good night,
dear void.
