Inception

THIS MOVIE IS MIND-BLOWING!
NOLAN DESERVES AN OSCAR FOR HIS WORK!

I'm lost, you can't just describe your awe-ness with words.
I assume you all already know the line ups.

Leo is awesome, but JGL is KICK ASS!

If you haven't watched this movie yet, I suggest you run to the nearest cinema.
Like I said, this movie is mind-blowing and rather complicated,
but THIS, my friend, is what you called as GENIUS!

It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die!

Recently watched : "Despicable Me"

And seriously, I can't get enough of "Agnes".
She's like the cutest character I've ever met!

I rode through the rain! I’d - I’d ride through worse than that if I could just hear your voice
telling me that I might, at least, have some chance to win you. - Mr. Knightley

Oh Jane, Oh Tom.

"What value will there ever be in life, if we are not together"

This kind of romance barely even existed in the 20th century, but in the 18th perhaps it might.
If you're one of the people who never watch "Becoming Jane" before, well, I strongly advised you to watch it. It's one of the best love story I've ever watched. I prefer this, than "Romeo & Juliet".

It tells us the story of Jane Austen, who as you knew, one of the biggest woman in the literature histories. Oh yes, she is definitely my muse. I adore her stories very very much. In this movie, you'll see the bittersweet of love in that era, though I must say there's no strong evidence that such a love between Tom & Jane ever existed. Nonetheless, it's still a brilliant movie for those who really like Jane Austen, Pride & Prejudice and of course, love story.

And this, is my favourite scene & MV.

Lady Gresham's Ball:

Fall Again MV:

one? more like five litre

Somehow at the beginning of the year, I have a strong urge of wanting to watch this J-Dorama again. I've watched this long time ago and never did a thought of re-watching it again crossed my mind until a few days ago.

So, I did. I watched it again. Yesterday. The whole series in just one day and like every other people who watched this drama, I cried my heart out. I think my eyes might be a little swollen. I made the pillow that I hugged wet with tears. It's really ONE LITRE OF TEARS.

Synopsis:
This drama is based on real-life story of Aya Kitou who suffered from an incurable disease called the Spinocerebellar Ataxia, a cruel disease which affects the victim's spinal cord & cerebellum thus, progressive difficulty in coordination. Aya (Sawajiri Erika) was only 15 years old when she first diagnosed. It was the start of her high school life, which for every teenagers, the start of their whole life. Aya suffered a lot, giving up a lot of things in her youth but still she never gave up although there's seems no hope was left for her. No future that she can grasp. But still she was able to lived to her fullest till the end of her time, inspiring a lot of people through a diary she's written till she couldn't hold a pen no longer.

Memorable (and heartbreaking) Quotes:

#1. As I think about the past, the tears will come out.
Reality is too cruel, too brutal.
I don’t even have the right to dream.
As I think about the future, the tears will come out again.

#2. Just that one sentence, ‘I won’t leave you’, encouraged me a lot.
Doctor, thank you for not leaving me.

#3. Why did the disease choose me?
I cannot carry it, if it’s just for the word “fate”.

#4. Regret. Pitiful. It’s okay if I’m in pain by myself.
But I’m also bringing trouble to the people around me.

#5. I really don’t want to say things such as
“I want to go back as how things were before”.
I recognize how I am right now, and I will continue to live on.

#6. Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.

#7. Even though I have been hurt before by those heartless glares,
this also helped me to understand that around me, there still exists some gentle glares. Therefore, I definitely won't run away.
That's what I'll do. Definitely. Always.

#8. Where should I head towards?
Even if there isn't answer, I'll feel better by writing it down.
I've looked for a pair of helping hands but I couldn't feel them, couldn't see them.
I only face towards darkness and hear hear the sounds of my hopeless screams.

#9. Okaasan, Will I be able to get married?

#10. When my existence seems to disappear
I will look for the place where I can do the best I can
From now on, I'll deliberate slowly
I won't be impatient
I won't be greedy
I won't give up
Because everyone takes things step by step.

I cried in most of the episode. I cried when Aya first found out about her disease. I cried watching her family struggle. I cried when she was still waiting for Kawamoto-senpai in the rain. I cried when she overheard her classmate comments about her and the scene when she was with Asou-kun at the place when they first met. I cried when Aya decided to leave her school for good. I cried how her classmates are singing a song for her in the gates before she left the school for ever. I cried when she struggled so hard each and every day. I cried when her sister Ako was mad at her brother, Hiro, because he couldn't stand up for her own sister. I cried when I saw how warm her family were. Man. I cried at a lot of scene. I definitely cried at the last three episode, it was emotional!

Watching this drama at the start of the year made me realized a lot of thing that I didn't realize before - that life is a gift and we must treasure every bit of it and live our life to the fullest. I realized that life is not fair - well, it never is. We complained a lot about problems in our life, but the truth is that problems (our problems) are nothing compared to those who have to suffered a lot throughout his/her life, like Aya for example. Her courage to keep on living, even when her vision was filled with tears and there seems like no place for her to go. She kept on living. I'm really touched by that.

Looking on the spiritual side, this made me realized that God is trying to tell me something in His own way. Then I realized how I always complained about my life. How I didn't treasured it as much as I should do. I didn't know what to say as I realized this fact. I was sad - I am young, but I wasted my time. So, I made myself a promised. I won't complain much this year. I want my life to be useful. I want to make a change for people around me. In short, this movie inspired me so much :)

ALICE in WONDERLAND!

I can't wait for MARCH 5th 2010!

First thing first, I'm not an avid fans of Alice in Wonderland when I was a kid, I found it pretty whimsical and rather weird, which is not really suitable to my taste of cartoons when I was a kid. I tried to watch it once, and ended up sleeping because it's just too boring for me. All the weird songs they sung, it was not my kind of taste in Disney music too (Sorry, Disney, but it's the truth!)

Anyway, the first time I saw the promo picture of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I was like.. "Okay, what the heck is this?" You see, because all of them looks so funny yet so... strange. All the name of the big stars dressed in a some whimsical clothing & make up. I didn't even know what it is at first. I didn't realized that it is a promo pic for Tim Burton's upcoming movie!

But I guess, Tim Burton does have some kind of magic in every movie that he made - He & his Burtonesque style. I fell in love bits by bits to this not-yet-out movie! Thanks to Tumblr & Flickr who are responsible for making me falling in love with Alice in Wonderland. And oh, Youtube too! Man~ I really-really can't wait! Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter is probably the one that I couldn't wait to see, Mia Wasikowska - who played Alice too and oh, you definitely couldn't miss THE CHESIRE CAT! You've got to see how its creepy grin.

Synopsis
Alice, now 19, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to by a rich suitor in front of hundreds of snooty society types. She runs off, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited many years before, yet she doesn't remember. The White Rabbit claims to have come back for Alice because she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwock, the beast who guards the Red Queen's empire. Since Alice left, the Red Queen took over all of Wonderland, and made life great for her, while ruining everyone else's life. She then embarks on an adventure of self discovery to save Wonderland from the Red Queen's reign of terror with the help of her Wonderland friends. Alice remains completely unaware of why she is in Wonderland, and is confused about the fact that she had once visited Wonderland years before.

Characters:

Mia Wasikowska as Alice
"There is something real, honest and sincere about her. She's not a typical Hollywood starlet. We wanted somebody who had…it’s hard to put into words, but just had a gravity to her, an internal life, something that you could see the wheels turning. It’s just a simple kind of power to her that we really liked. Not flamboyant, not very showy, but just somebody that’s got a lot of internal life to her. That’s why I picked her."
-Tim Burton & Richard D.Zanuck

Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter
" 'Alice in Wonderland' I think is going to be very, very, very fun. It's outstanding ... Tim's work. I think he's outdone himself, you know. Brilliant. The Hatter was very fun to play."
- Johnny Depp

Anne Hathaway as White Queen
“Cute but psycho. Things even out. Her character also doesn’t walk, she floats. She’s very eccentric and over dramatic, and just as mad in her way as the Hatter.”

Helena Bonham Carter as Red Queen
Carter’s head will be increased in size by three times on screen. Her character is a combination of the Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts and likes nothing better than to scream, “Off with their heads!”

gotta love her dress!

There is a place.
Like no place on Earth.
A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger!
Some say to survive it:
You need to be as mad as a hatter.

The Road I'm On, The Life I Lead

Sometimes I wonder about my life.
I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder,
do I do it because I like it,
or because
I haven't been brave
?
So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book,
when shouldn't it be the other way around?
I don't really want an answer.
I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void.
So good night,
dear void.

500 Days of Summer

awww... this is super sickly sweet!

Well, I don't really know what's gotten into me lately. I'm such in a melancholic state that I was so into the old time romantic-comedy/romantic movie these days. I tried to watch Meg Ryan's (because Meg was one heck of a 'romantic' genre actress, she plays the role definitely well. I got her feeling on that one) lot of time like Sleepless in Seattle & You've Got Mail. That's my favourite. Aye, not to mention Julia Roberts! She's also amazing with Runaway Bride, Pretty Girl and bla-bla-bla. I always cried when I watch romantic movies. I know, I know, kinda pathetic but I can't denied it. I'm a hopeless romantic. Even I cried when I watch HERCULES! Yes, DISNEY'S CARTOON HERCULES! I cried. Can't you imagine? So, if anyone anybody have a damn good recommendation of good romantic movie, whether it is brand new or old time one, just QUIPPED me. Okay guys?

Anyway, talking about romantic, I'm so obsessed with 500 Days of Summer since the first time I saw the poster on tumblr and the trailer on youtube. It was MARVELOUS! It was the kinda thing I want to happened in my life. The story line is pretty much simple, it's about a boy - a hopeless romantic - who fall in love with a girl, who pretty much didn't believe in what they so called as true love.

  • Tom: “We don’t have to label what we’re doing. I just… I need some consistency. I need to know you won’t wake up tomorrow and feel a different way.”
  • Summer: “I can’t promise you that. Nobody can. Anyone who does is a liar.”
  • Tom: Did you ever even have a boyfriend?
  • Summer: Of course
  • Tom: What Happened? Why didn't they work out?
  • Summer: What always happens? Life
  • Summer: We've been like Sid and Nancy for months now.
  • Tom: Summer, Sid stabbed Nancy, seven times with a kitchen knife, I mean we have some disagreements but I hardly think I'm Sid Vicious.
  • Summer: No I'm Sid
  • Tom: Oh, so I'm Nancy...
  • [Pancakes arrive]
  • Summer: Let's just eat and we'll talk about it later. Mmm, that is good, I'm really glad we did this. I love these pancakes... what?
  • [Tom gets up and walks away from the table]
  • Summer: Tom, don't go! You're still my best friend!
  • Rachel: Better that you find this out now before you come home and find her in bed with Lars from Norway.
  • Tom: Who's Lars from Norway?
  • Rachel: He's some guy she met at the gym with Brad Pitt's face and Jesus' abs.

Atlantis

Ever heard of this movie before?

Well, like any other, it's another Walt Disney movie. Not a very popular one I might say. I remember the first time I saw this poster is ages ago when I was still a kid. I saw this in a child magazine and I've been craving to watch this movie back then. But, I only get to watch it like a two weeks ago, when I was randomly browsing through the net and decided to download the torrent.

It was actually a good movie. I like it! The characters are all funny. I like the a-dork-able Milo and his awkwardness. Not to mention Vinny's accent, how Sweet said "Hold on, back up!" and Mole weirdness. It's just... well, what's the word? funny? Whatever. You should watch this. Highly recommended

1914: Milo Thatch, grandson of the great Thaddeus Thatch works in the boiler room of a museum. He knows that Atlantis was real, and he can get there if he has the mysterious Shephards journal, which can guide him to Atlantis. But he needs someone to fund a voyage. His employer thinks he’s dotty, and refuses to fund any crazy idea. He returns home to his apartment and finds a woman there. She takes him to Preston B. Whitmore, an old friend of his Grandfathers. He gives him the shepherds journal, a submarine and a 5 star crew. They travel through the Atlantic ocean, face a large lobster called the Leviathan, and finally get to Atlantis. But does the Atlantis crew have a lust for discovery, or something else?

Favorite Quotes:
Princess Kida: We are not thriving. True, our people live, but our culture is dying. We are like a stone the ocean beats against. With each passing year a little more of us is worn away.

Helga: Someone needs to talk to that girl.
Mole: I will go!
Vinny: Someone with good people skills.
Mole: I will do it!
Dr. Sweet: Someone who won't scare her away.
Mole: I volunteer!
Wilhelmina: Someone who can speak the language.
Mole: For the good of the mission, I will go!
Commander Rourke: [to Milo, who is not paying attention] Good man, Thatch. Thanks for volunteering.

Cookie: You're so skinny, if you turned sideways and stuck out your tongue, you'd look like a zipper.

Preston B. Whitmore: Your grandad had a saying: "Our lives are remembered by the gifts we leave our children." This journal is his gift to you, Milo. Atlantis is waiting. What do you say?

Milo: Forget your jammies, Mrs. Packard?
Wilhelmina: I sleep in the nude.
[Sweet throws a sleep mask to Milo]
Dr. Sweet: You're gonna want a pair of these. She sleepwalks.

Vinny: My family owned a flower shop. We would sell roses, carnations, baby's breath, you name it. One day, I'm making about three dozen corsages for this prom, you know, the one they put on the wrist, and everybody, they come. "Where is it?", "When is it?", "Does it match my dress?" It's a nightmare. Anyway, I guess there was this leak next door of gas or what. BOOM! No more Chinese laundry. Blew me right through the front window. It was like a sign from God. I found myself that boom.

Milo: What else have you, uh, got in there?
Vinny: Oh, er... gunpowder, nitroglycerin, notepads, fuses, wicks, glue, and... paper clips, big ones. You know, just, uh, office supplies.

Dr. Sweet: Less talk, more saw!

short updates.

Short short This post will be a short one, bloggie. I'm kinda out of time here and I'm pretty exhausted from today, so I'm pretty much ready to kiss my keyboard goodbye and hug my pillow tightly.

So anyway, let's get started. I watched Street Fighter yesterday with my mom and mom's friends at Setiabudi One. What can I say, fellas? It's just a so-so film, not so good and yet, not so bad either. But I simply love Chun-Li's WHITE BOOT! OMG! I want one Give me that and I won't be asking for another shoes, for yea... at least weeks maybe. LOL.

And, as for today, I went and watched Star Trek with my mom, again in Setiabudi One. LOL, oh well, that certainly makes Setiabudi One looks like our favorite cinema, right? Well, no. I don't really like watching movie there, but whatever. Still, I can get a nice seat and a bucket of popcorn. By the way, I really love PAVEL CHEKOV! He's so damn cute!

oh yea, almost forgot, the result for Red Carpet Blog Award is already out and when I take a look at it, I was..... choked. Okay, not choked, but maybe shocked I won at many category. I won at the top Overall too. Wow. Imagine it! This is my first time but I already won a top overall, wow! Thanks Kimverlyn. You can check her blog to see the result, it's in the June Archive.

That's it peeps. See ya when I see ya~

movie buff

Uah, quite a day today, isn't it bloggie?

Friday is so loved, baby. Why? Simply because it's freedom day! I agree with Flo for this one. At last, this day is the kind of day that I've been waiting for in my busy-hectic-crazy-stressing exams day.

Anyway, I missed blogging so much and there's hella lots of things that I want to share and to write about. Unfortunately , I've got not much time since it'll be midnight in just 3 minute so I'm going to do some blog-review thingy.

So, this week I watched two 'two up' movie which is:

#1. Angels & Demons :
This movie is so damn AWESOME! BRILLIANT! I watched it twice already and can't get enough of it. I'm addicted to it already. As known, it's another adapted movie from the same title: Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. So, you know it already, Robert Langdon is back - but of course with a different case this time. The story involved around Vatican and Rome, catholic church, Pope and old legend of Illuminati and of course an invention called as the antimatter. Well, I won't spread too many unnecessary spoilers here. Watch it and be awed!
As for me: I'm so in love with the settings in this movie and the scene when the bomb explode in the sky, it's so... WOW~!

#2. Inkheart :
Okay, as for this one, I watched this in my iPod. Why? Because it's not out yet in XXI and I guess it's still a long way to go but despite that, this movie is so DAMN GOOD! I like the story arc especially, and well, got to say that the setting was awesome too. I like the little girl playing the role of Meggie, she got that British accent that's so lovely . It's also adapted from a book of the same title: Inkheart. Well, you've got to watched this one if you're really a fantasy-adventure movie freak. You're gonna love it! Well, I know I do

Anyway, got some vids for you

It's a fanmade New Moon trailer I found in youtube.
It's superb! Great job!
